// Montbron’s castle

Rebuilt in the XVI century, the Castle of Montbron has a 2 levels main building with 2 attached towers in the front. Mullioned windows on the groung floor were transformed in the XIX century, the ones from the first floor remained the same. The courtyard is sealed by 2 lateral buildings.

Large stone fireplaces from the XVII and XVIII century were kept on the ground floor.
A long alley bordered with poplars provides for a view on the lake. The legend tells about an undergroung passage that would have reached the lake shores from the north tower, but no traces have been found despite of the search.

The Castle is not open for visits
